Inert/ confined space entries
Our inert entry teams have a wide range of experience in inert and ambient atmosphere entry into a large variety of vessels and process. We have several different supplied breathing air systems, which can be used for all inert or I.D.L.H. atmosphere confined space entries. Helmets are now becoming more and more the world-wide standard in inert entry breathing protection. Safe catalyst handling is one of Mourik’s key missions. In conjunction with the life support supplier of Mourik and after consultation many users International, Mourik developed its own breathing air helmet systems in which the wishes and experiences of all users are included.
The properties of the new developed helmet are:
- Good personal fit and hygienic by the use of a personal cap for every user;
- Superior balance of the weight of the helmet for the neck;
- Strongly reduced "death space" inside the helmet, through the use of a small inner mask and direct exhaust of exhaled air outside the helmet;
- No accumulation of carbon dioxide in the helmet;
- Ergonomic properties of the helmet increased comfort by using the helmet,
- Helmet out of one piece; no hinged parts;
- Constructed with the use of European available parts and demand valves;
- Easy to maintain and to replace parts and demand valves;
- Easy to combine the helmet with gas suits.
The new helmet is in the opinion of Mourik a major step forward in the development of high technical standards for the safest possible execution of inert catalyst handling activities.
