(Video) inspection and assessment
With more than 35 years of experience in catalyst handling and inert entries Mourik can inspect your vessel in all types of atmospheres and make an solid assessment of the situation. Especially under inert atmosphere our entry technicians can make video records of the internals. The video images can provide useful information regarding the nature of the damage and development of repair procedures. For video inspection Mourik uses state of the art video equipment that consists of color camera, monitor and recording facilities. The video camera can be used for inspection of reformer tubes, tanks, vessels etc.
Mechanical work
Catalytic reactors contain more and more critical internals and high-tech distribution and quench zones. Technical control on modern catalytic reactors and chemical processes require high-tech solutions. New developments in distribution trays, thermo couples and quench sections increase the need for highly skilled technicians for their installation and maintenance.
A lot of experience has been gained over the last 30 years in mechanical maintenance at very complex reactors like; ammonia converters, Parex units, Platforming reactors and CCR units. These complex units often need a “tailor-made” approach. These mechanical services are offered by Mourik International with the wishes and desires of our clients at front.
Screening
Our screening machine can be fitted with a multi screen decks is all required sizes to screen dust from catalyst or screen catalyst and/or alumina / ceramic balls in different sizes. Each deck has a collection point and drums or big bags can be placed under these points to load the screened materials. Above the screening machine is a hopper placed with a valve in order to control the flow going to the screens. Too much material in the screening machine will have negative effect on the screening result. It is important that the particles make contact with the screen(s).
Logistics
During a catalyst change-out all kind of logistic activities has to be executed. Fresh catalyst has to be transported to the user, spent catalyst has to be transported to a metal reclaim facility or regeneration company. And on site catalyst has to be re-packed, labeled, weighted, transported etc. Mourik offers these kind of services as part of an integral one-stop-shopping concept.
Nitrogen supply
In preparation for all work, the catalytic reactors are inertised with nitrogen, in order to prevent chemical and thermal reactions while work is in progress in the reactor. Requirement oriented, economical systems are used, which guarantee controlled regulation of the nitrogen feed.
Passivation
As refiners continue to push the performance limits of their hydrotreating units, improved catalyst sulfiding have become a key component for attaining maximum unit performance. Numerous sulfurization and sulfiding technologies are now available to the refiners. Presulfided catalyst contain metallic sulfides, which are active components of hydroprocessing reactions. These sulfides are not stable in air and need a passivation treatment for an easy handling under air. Mourik can offer this services in order to handle your catalyst in a safe way.
