Our History
The origins of the Mourik organization can be traced back to the twenties where in Europe Mr. Mourik started a company laying electricity cables, at first aboveground but later also underground. The experience gained with the digging of cable trenches then led to the contracting of work for the laying of water and gas pipes and telephone cables. In 1933 the company was registered with the Chamber of Commerce, but already existed since 1929.
The Present
Nowadays the Mourik group of companies with around 2,000 employees generates a yearly turnover of approximately 370 million Euros. Mourik is a family owned company with a strong capital base. To enable us to operate on a worldwide footing; we have operating companies in Holland, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Aruba, United States of America, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and South-East Asia.
Mourik can be characterized as a flexible and reliable organization whose workforce operates as a team together with clients and other interested parties solving the problems and getting the jobs done in a highly innovative and safe manner with respect for human beings, society and environment.
